Features

The Stryker Physio-Control Lifepak 20e is a Defibrillator, AED, and monitor in one. Combining the functionality of manual defibrillation, automatic defibrillation, and a monitor makes it quicker and easier to deliver the care that is needed in an emergency setting. The Lifepak 20e comes with a CodeManagement module that allows lifespan products to show waveform capnography and connect wirelessly to the hospital network. This makes it easy to run reports and monitor critical cardio-respiratory events.

This Lifepak 20e unit is not much different from the Lifepak 20, the main difference is the lithium-ion battery. The Lifepak 20e comes with an LCD color screen, making it easier for healthcare workers to monitor the Waveforms and CPR statistics. The compact and durable design of the 20e makes it easy to fit on a crash cart, a stretcher, or a bedside. Looking for other Lifepak defibrillators? How about the Lifepak 15?

  • Manual and automatic defibrillation functionality
  • Built-in AC Power
  • 3 and 5 ECG monitoring capability on the Lifepak defibrillator

Defibrillator/Monitors with Code Management Module Accessories

Easy for both BLS and ALS Teams

With the door closed, the Lifepak can function as an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for your BLS trained EMS healthcare teams to begin early defibrillation before the code team arrives. It features a standard and clear user interface that is recognizable if you have ever used Lifepak 12 or Lifepak 15 defib. It has a larger code clock that provides better visibility throughout the room and standardized devices to use for time management, documentation, and solutions. Ensuring stability and efficiency during transport with its compact design and ergonomic footprint, this defibrillation also can be set up to Auto-send individual care and product data facilities quality improvements review and hospital-wide tracking when equipped with the optional Code Management accessories.

Improves your Resuscitation Management

The 20e series AEDs also have Capnography aids, ET tube placement, and CPR effectiveness, as well as other advanced monitoring management, including; ECG (3 or 5 wire), pacing, and pulse oximetry. An integrated metronome helps CPR rescuers perform CPR compressions at the AHA Guideline for CPR at a rate of 100/minute. The 20e can deliver up to 360J with biphasic technology, which is the highest available energy for difficult-to-defibrillate individuals.

Ready when your Team is ready

The 20e automatically performs a daily readiness self-check. Using LIFENET Asset status, you can wirelessly monitor the product’s data including battery charger, updates, and self-tests, and even allows your Biomed team to complete upgrades that would have previously required a service call. The 20e runs on a long-lasting lithium-ion internal battery and can be connected to an AC power source.

General Information About Defibrillators

Why Defibrillation?

  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCR)-Rapid, irregular rhythm causing the heart to quiver
  • Cause: Ventricular Fibrillation (VF)
    • Can lead to death if shock not delivered
  • Defibrillation – to counteract fibrillation

Defibrillator

  • Products that are used to administer an electric current (shock) to the heart
  • Types of Defibrillators
    • Manual external
    • Manual internal
    • Automated External (AED)
    • Semi-Automated External
    • Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD)

Manual External Defibrillator

  • Widely used in Hospitals and clinics by medical personnel
  • Inbuilt EKG reader
  • Clinician Diagnoses the condition and accordingly administers the shock through paddles or pads

Manual Internal Defibrillator

  • Exclusively Used in Operating Rooms
  • Charge delivered through internal paddles in direct contact with the heart

Automated External Defibs (AEDs)

  • Used by lay persons requiring little training
  • Built in heart rhythm analyzer
  • Advices whether shock is required

Semi-Automated External Defibrillators

  • AED is used by paramedics and other medical technicians
  • Automated capabilities of AED
  • With ECG display and manual override option

Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator

  • Implants similar to pacemakers
  • Constantly monitor heart rhythm
  • Automatically administers shock for arrhythmias

Types of waveform – Shape of defibrillation current

  • Monophasic damped sine waveform – delivers energy in one direction
    • Relies on adjustment of joule settings
  • Biphasic damped sine waveform – bi-directional current flow
    • Measures impedance and delivers a precise dose of electricity
    • Uses significantly low energy levels
    • Decreases risk of burn-in Myocardial damage

Soma Tech Intl offers the Lifepak 20e defibrillator up to 50% below OEM prices with the same service and warranty as new. The Stryker 20e is technically refurbished and cosmetically refurbished to make it work and look as close to new as possible. When the refurbishing process starts on the 20e, it is carefully inspected and tested by our in-house biomedical engineers, that are highly skilled and certified to work on defibrillators. If necessary, parts are replaced to ensure all aspects of the 20e are functioning properly. Once everything is in working order, the Stryker Lifepak defibrillator is calibrated back to the original engineering manufacturer’s specifications. This ensures that the Stryker defibrillator is working the same way that it originally left the manufacturer. After it is working like new, it undergoes a special cosmetic restoration process. It is cleaned, minor scratches and dents are repaired, painted, and new decals are replaced if necessary. After this strenuous refurbishing process, the Lifepak functions and looks like new.
