Job Description

The primary responsibility of this job will be to procure surplus medical equipment from hospitals and equipment dealers. The employee will need to develop a network of relationships with agents, biomedical service engineers and sales representative of medical equipment manufacturers. Duties and responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Develop new vendors and relationships. Understand and analyze sales requirements Effectively scout for sales team demand of equipment. Provide availability reports and analyze price structure Inspect and account for all purchased equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with a Minimum 2 year’s experience.
  • Biomedical engineering and multilingual educations a plus.
  • Experience in medical equipment purchase or sales or in a hospital environment is a plus
  • Must be able to work independently with proven success at contacting decision makers
  • Proficient computer use is a must. Saleslogix, Microsoft office and contact management software is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to attend auctions, hospital liquidation, and large equipment inspections.

Biomedical Bench Engineer (Junior Bench Test Engineer)

Educational Requirements

Master in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Other Requirements

Soma Technology will accept any combination of education, training, experience as equivalent to the degree requirement. The candidate must have strong theoretical knowledge of electronic components and biomedical instrumentation with good understanding of human physiological systems.

Job Description

The employee will develop test methods to verify that the equipment meets OEM standards and design specifications. They will test and service bio-medical devices/equipment on component or board level to correct any parameters found not to meet OEM specs. They must be able to identify cause of failure for devices, perform preventive maintenance and calibrate equipment. In addition, they will give customers telephone technical support, troubleshooting, and field service of maintain refurbished medical equipment.

Network Engineer

Job Description

This person will be responsible for the implementation, and administration of a Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory, Exchange, IIS, SQL Server, and LAN/WAN environment.

Responsibilities

The network engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the processes of troubleshooting, documenting, implementing and maintaining new Active Directory Domains.
  • Deploy and maintain Microsoft Exchange 2003
  • Research software and or hardware solutions
  • Configure Desktops/Laptops
  • Diagnosing IT problems
  • Maintain Phone System

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in design and administration of networks
  • Must possess hands-on experience implementing, configuring and maintaining Windows 2003 Active Directory environments.
  • Experience implementing and administrating Exchange 2003
  • Must have experience in PC configuration (Hardware and Software) and troubleshooting skills for Desktops, Laptops, and printers
  • Must possess and demonstrate the ability to work independently, taking initiative and handling workload immediately.
  • Development skills in ASP.NET and Microsoft SharePoint is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
