This week is Healthcare Technology Management Week! This may be one of our favorite weeks because it’s also Clinical Engineering Week. Clinical engineers are the backbone of the success of medical equipment in practical settings. Soma Technology has an elite group of trained biomedical engineers. Why did you want to become an engineer?

I loved solving problems and fixing stuff. I used to fix old VCRs and bicycles for friends and relatives.

What’s the best part of your job?

Fixing machines which are faulty, finding new replacement parts which are inexpensive and of good quality. Also, helping peers to solve their issues. 

Do you have any advice for little kids who want to be an engineer?

Have an open mind and try to explore more. Always ask why and have that inquisitive mind. And parents please encourage your kids when they ask you questions.

What is it like being a female engineer?

My mom never made me feel any different and I just picked what I liked. 

What is the best thing about working at Soma?

Being hands-on, learning every day on the job. Best management and colleagues. It is a great place to learn on the go. I have the best boss who is understanding and patient and helps every one of us grow.

Why did you want to become an engineer?

To understand the technology that improves our everyday lives and be able to improve upon it to make life more enjoyable.

What’s the best part of your job?

Every day brings new learning opportunities that help hone my problem-solving skills. 

Do you have any advice for little kids who want to be an engineer?

Learn as much as they can about technology and the world around them in general because it will make life seem amazing.

What is the best thing about working at Soma?

The variety of medical equipment I get to learn about and work on.

Why did you want to become an engineer?

Engineers are the most creative creatures in the world. They can do miracles in the everyday life of human beings.

What’s the best part of your job?

Being able to work with gadgets and make things that help change human life.

Work with patience. Keep your senses alive and work to change the life of everyone.

What is the best thing about working at Soma?

Why did you want to become an engineer?

Since childhood, I used to take apart my toys and always had questions about how machines were invented and what can they be used for. What’s a better way to quench my thirst than to take up engineering.

What’s the best part of your job?

Learning about equipment which can help save a person’s life and that opportunity of helping in a noble cause of helping other humans. 

Do you have any advice for little kids who want to be an engineer?

Keep questioning about every machine you see around you. Don’t clamp down your curiosity.

What is the best thing about working at Soma?

There is no better place to see so many different kinds of medical equipment at one place being worked on than Soma Technology.
