There are many technological features on the System 5000 ESU. General Mode is traditionally used for open procedures. Fluids Mode is a quick start-up for procedures where there are many fluids including urology and arthroscopy. Laparoscopic Mode limits output voltage to minimize the potentially harmful effects of capacitive coupling and insulation breakdown. Pulse Cut is used for precise cutting effect around delicate tissues and organs. Bipolar Output Meter provides feedback on desiccation levels. An Automatic Return Monitoring alarm provides warning of electrode contact.

Conmed System 5000 Specifications

This electrosurgical unit is 14″ x 35″ x 48″. It weighs less than 10 pounds and is easily transported between operating rooms, or can be placed on a table or a cart. The cooling system is controlled by a fan. A foot switch can be purchased for use.
