The Sterrad 100S<\/span><\/span><\/strong> system <\/span>is a multipurpose sterilizer intended for sterile processing departments and operating rooms in hospitals and other medical centers. The system employs advanced Sterrad technology, a hydrogen peroxide gas plasma process, to achieve at least a 10-6 sterility assurance level in a 55-minute cycle. The system can sterilize various types of medical instruments and equipment, with the exception of liquids, cellulosic materials (paper, linen, cotton, etc.), and medical instruments with restrictive labeling. The Sterrad 100S system is designed to be independent and self-contained, with no connections other than a power cord.                       The STERRAD 100S sterilizer is a hydrogen peroxide gas plasma sterilizer that provides an environment sufficiently lethal to microorganisms to produce at least a Sterility Assurance Level (SAL) of 10-6 for devices within the label claims. The STERRAD 100 S sterilizer has two separate peroxide\/plasma injection stages, rather than one, in the sterilization cycle.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

                      The STERRAD 100 S sterilizer process has four distinct phases<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

                        \n
                      • Phase 1: Vacuum. This is an air plasma preconditioning stage.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
                      • Phase 2. Sterilization A. Injection, diffusion and plasma stages<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
                      • Phase 3. Sterilization B. Injection, diffusion and plasma stages<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
                      • Phase 4. Ventilation. A final vent to return the chamber to atmospheric pressure.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        This multi-stage cycle reliably processes sterile medical devices without toxic residues. The devices are then safe for immediate use or suitable for storage and future use.                         Phase 1 – Vacuum Preconditioning<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

                        First Step<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

                        The vacuum phase is the first stage of the sterilization process. The chamber pressure is pumped up to 700 mTorr, and then the plasma is ignited.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
