Characteristics
This C-arm is mobile. It can be easily transported between operating rooms or patient rooms. Positioning is relatively easy. The axis of this machine pivots up to 180 degrees. The OEC 9600 can be raised vertically for greater ease of use. It can be raised to 18 inches. The control panel houses the mechanisms for the movement.
Details
A multitude of specialized packages are available. These include GSP, ESP, vascular, neurovascular, cardiac, and Super C. The generator operates at high frequency, with continuous fluoroblast mode, pulsed fluoroscopy, and features a patented energy buffer design.
The X-ray tube rotates. The focal spots are between 0.3 and 0.6 mm. The anode’s heat capacity is 300,000 HU, with a cooling rate of 1,600,000 HU. The X-ray tube cooling fan is used in vascular, neurovascular, and cardiac units.
The Iris collimation system uses opposing, double, semi-transparent shutters to enable elliptical, round, and rectangular collimation. The iris and shutters are continuously variable. All functions are remotely controlled from the control panel.
The system comes complete with dual video monitors and a remote window with level controls. A thermal printer, an external DICOM box, and a laser aiming device are available as options.
