Medtronic 5388 Features
The Medtronic 5388 is a dual-chamber temporary pacemaker that provides eight different types of modes for pacing therapy. This Medtronic pacemaker is battery-powered and usually connected to transvenous, epicardial, or myocardial pacing leads. It can be used for temporary single or dual-chamber pacing. Its constant current device, the pulse emitted from the device stays at a constant value.
- Operates with a 9V alkaline or lithium battery.
- DDD, DVI, DDI, DOO, VOO, VVI, AOO, and AAI pacing therapy modes.
- Compatible with Medtronic 5433A, Medtronic M5433V, Medtronic 5832, Medtronic 5832S pacing and surgical cables.

Pulse Width
- Atrial: 1.0 ms ± 10%
- Ventricular: 1.5 ms ± 10%
Sensitivity
- Atrial ASYNC: 0.4 – 10 mV ± 0.3 mV or 25%
- Ventricular ASYNC: 0.8 – 20 mV ± 0.3 mV or 25%
A-V Interval
- Auto: 50 – 250 ms

Rate Limit
- A crystal is used to set the pacing rate. If the crystal rate deviates from the appropriate value, the rate runaway protection circuit resets the device once. If the crystal rate remains incorrect, the rate runaway protection circuit turns the device off.
