The Avalon FM50 offers external and internal fetal monitoring, and is an intrapartum fetal monitor built for more complex labor and delivery cases. It tracks fetal heart rate noninvasively, even for triplets, and supports direct fetal ECG through an internal scalp electrode when that level of monitoring is needed. It also supports full maternal monitoring, toco, IUP, blood pressure, and oximetry, so clinicians can track the mother and baby from a single unit. Smart Pulse technology provides automated coincidence detection and automatically cross-checks fetal and maternal heart rates. It also connects to hospital networks over serial or LAN and includes a VGA output for an external display. This model is part of the Avalon FM series from Philips which includes the Avalon FM20 and the Avalon FM30.

Once it’s fully operational, the Avalon FM50 moves into a detailed cosmetic restoration process: thorough cleaning, correction of minor scratches and dents, surface refinishing where needed, and decal replacement if required. After all of that, it functions and presents like new.
