Arrow ACAT 2 Features
The Arrow ACAT 2 Wave Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) system provides counter-pulsation support to the most unstable of IABP patients. Those with tachyarrhythmias and variable pulse pressures, all while maintaining 1:1 assist and with full volume delivery to the catheter. The Arrow AutoCAT 2 console, when combined with the FiberOptic IAB technology, utilizes a physiologic timing algorithm called WAVE that provides uncompromised patient support to a broad range of patients.
The Arrow ACAT 2 system is integrated with AutoPilot which is designed to make automatic operation adjustments in the timing and triggering parameters. This optimizes counter-pulsation support in patients with a wide range of conditions. The AutoCat 2 system uses fiber-optic technology and a physiology-based timing algorithm, WAVE, to deliver beat-specific support.
The ACAT 2 provides precise helium pulses to an Intra-Aortic catheter, assisting an injured or failing heart. The AutoCat 2 WAVE is portable and designed for use in any hospital or transport setting, including ambulance and LifeFlight aircraft. The design includes a menu-driven, removable user-interface display with a 360-degree rotation and 45-degree tilt when mounted. The chassis and housing provide easy access to consumables, storage for cables and accessories, and rugged, shock-absorbing protection for precision components.
- Converts the highly accurate arterial pressure from the fiber optic IAB catheter, fiberoptics series, to Aortic Flow on a beat-to-beat basis.
- Proprietary WAVE technology automatically inflates IAB to coincide with aortic valve closure. In the presence of an arrhythmia, initiates real-time, automatic R-wave deflation.
- Aortic Flow timing delivers the first truly intra-beat timing system based on individual patient physiology and virtually eliminates timing errors no matter how erratic the arrhythmia is.
- 2 modes of operation: Operator and AutoPilot.
- One button start-up.
- Full-color display with fast inflation and deflation speeds.
- Bellows / Stepper motor pneumatics with no maintenance required.
- Automatic scaling of ECG and pressures.
- Bright, clean display of all parameters, including assisted and unassisted pressures.
