Stryker Pivot Guardian Features

The Stryker Pivot Guardian is a distraction system used in hip arthroscopy procedures. Instead of relying on a perineal post, it uses a post-free setup that helps reduce complications such as pudendal nerve injury and soft tissue pressure. Surgeons can adjust traction and positioning with accuracy, while the radiolucent carbon fiber frame allows clear intraoperative imaging.

  • Post-Free Design: Removes the perineal post to lower the risk of nerve dysfunction, groin numbness, and soft tissue injury.
  • Traction Force Gauge: Displays the estimated distraction force applied to the patient, typically ranging between 50–120 lbf.
  • Traction Controls: Provides both fine and gross adjustments for hip adduction, abduction, flexion, extension, and rotation.
  • Boot System: Uses a Boa® Fit System and an Achilles block to secure the ankle and reduce heel slip during distraction.
  • Carbon Fiber Frame: Radiolucent construction reduces metal near the hip, allowing full anterior and posterior visualization and a true AP radiographic view.
  • Gas Shock System: Assists with raising and lowering the patient’s foot for positioning.
  • Operating Room Efficiency: Built for quicker setup, transport, and takedown to help reduce turnover time.

Refurbished Stryker Pivot Guardian Patient Lifts

Soma Tech Intl offers the Stryker Pivot Guardian Distraction System up to 50% below OEM prices with the same service and warranty as new. The patient lift is not only technically refurbished but also cosmetically refurbished to make it work and look like new. When the refurbishing process starts on the Pivot Guardian, it is carefully inspected and tested by our own in-house biomedical engineers who are highly skilled and certified to work on patient positioning and distraction equipment. If necessary, parts are replaced to ensure that all aspects of the distraction system meet the original manufacturer’s specifications. This ensures that the unit operates just as it did when it left the manufacturer. Once the Pivot Guardian is functioning like new, it undergoes a specialized cosmetic restoration. The system is cleaned, minor scratches and dents are repaired, it’s repainted, and new decals are added if necessary. After this thorough refurbishment, the unit both functions and appears like new. Soma Tech Intl is ISO 13485 certified, ensuring top-quality standards in every piece of medical equipment sold. Before the Stryker Pivot Guardian is labeled patient-ready and prepared for shipment, it goes through a final quality control check to confirm all aspects are working as they should.
