The Philips Respironics BiPAP Vision ventilator is a microprocessor-controlled, positive pressure ventilatory assist system. This system includes multi-function keys, real-time graphics displays, and integral patient and system alarms. The Vision ventilator operates using a centrifugal blower to generate airflow and allows single or combined gas therapy. Because of this, it can be used in the following modes:
The Philips BiPAP Vision regulates pressure by monitoring proximal airway pressure. Also, it adjusts flow accordingly to ensure the proximal pressure equals the set pressure.
Philips Respironics BiPAP Vision Features
This ventilator is designed to address the unique requirements of NIV within the hospital, including changing leaks, dynamic breathing patterns, and high FIO2 and flow demand. The BiPAP vision features accurate monitoring, reliable alarms, and a user-friendly intuitive menu.
Pressure regulation at the mask
CPAP and S/T modes for maintaining airways and providing pressure support ventilator management
Integrated display screen with real-time graphics in waveform or bar scale format
Oxygen control that allows up to 100% concentrations without attaching auxiliary oxygen to the mask
Digital auto-trak sensitivity automatically adapts to the ever-changing leaks on a breath-by-breath basis
This allows the mask to be fit for comfort rather than the perfect seal
Sophisticated alarm module that minimizes nuisance alarms and has a complete range of customizable alarms
The BiPAP Vision ventilator is intended for use in a hospital or alternate care setting. It is used as an assist ventilator for the treatment of adult patients with:
Acute respiratory failure
Acute or chronic respiratory insufficiency
Sleep apnea syndrome
The Philips BiPAP Vision is an assist ventilator and is intended to augment the ventilation of a spontaneously breathing patient. It is not intended to provide the total ventilatory requirements of the patient.
How Does The Philips BiPAP Vision Work?
The BiPAP Vision draws ambient air through an inlet filter, pressurizes it in the blower assembly, and then regulates it at the present pressure level. An oxygen module provides a controlled source of supplemental oxygen, up to 100 %, to the patient. This ventilator continuously monitors the pressure against proximal airway pressure to ensure accurate and responsive delivery of pressure, despite common circuit leaks.
Designed with the BiPAP and Auto-Trak Sensitivity features, the ventilator automatically adjusts to changing circuit conditions. This ensures optimum patient-ventilator synchrony. The unique design and operation of this machine make it especially suited for non-invasive mask application.
Refurbished Philips Respironics BiPAP Vision
Soma Technology technically and cosmetically refurbishes Philips BiPAP Vision ventilation systems back to OEM specifications. Like all of our products, our ventilators undergo an extensive process to ensure they are patient ready. When BiPAP Visions come into the facility they are inspected and tested. They are then disassembled, each part is tested, and necessary parts are replaced. Once the machine is brought back to OEM standards the product is cleaned and ready for cosmetics. Here the housing’s are sanded, painted, and new decals are placed. Once the machines are put back together and the necessary calibrations are made, the product goes through a QC check. After passing inspection, these ventilators are wrapped up and ready for shipping.
