Conmed HelixAR Features
The ConMed HelixAR Electrosurgical Generator with Argon Beam Coagulation is an advanced Electrosurgical Unit that is used for both open and laparoscopic procedures. This product includes only the Head Unit for Argon Beam Coagulation.
- Proprietary Dynamic Response Technology is designed to minimize unintentional tissue charring.
- Rapid, superficial hemostasis reduces carbonization by allowing ABC to coagulate directly on the stoma of the target tissue.
- Less blood loss, less OR time, and improved eschar integrity can result from this rapid hemostasis.
- Less tissue damage due to the cooling effects of argon flow during RF energy delivery, ABC operates at lower temperatures than spray coagulation.
- Argon gas enables precise delivery of focused RF energy in a uniform stream, which is distributed evenly on the tissue.
- Carries surgical smoke away from the field of view, reduces unpleasant odors, and clears the surgical site of blood and other fluids.
- Program mode can store up to 100 custom surgical settings.
- Remote power control allows the surgeon to adjust the power up or down from the sterile field using an electrosurgical pencil.
MONOPOLAR SPECIALTY MODES
-
- Laparoscopic: Limits voltage to 2700V in Lap Mode, helping
reduce the risks of inadvertent burns from capacitive coupling
- Fluids: Rapid energy initiation for immediate clinical effect in high load/low impedance conditions
- Pulse Coag: Pulsing bursts of coagulation for controlled hemostasis with reduced tissue carbonization
ABC® MODES
- Argon Dissect: Works with the CONMED dissecting electrode to provide argon-enhanced cutting with
four varying levels of hemostasis - Pulse Argon: Provides controlled hemostasis for small surface bleeders with four pulse timings
- Rapid, Superficial Hemostasis Reduces carbonization by allowing ABC® to coagulate directly on the stroma of the target tissue Less blood loss, less OR time, and improved eschar integrity can result from this rapid hemostasis
- Less Tissue Damage Due to the cooling effects of argon flow during RF energy delivery, ABC® operates at lower temperatures than spray coagulation
- Focused RF Energy Argon gas enables precise delivery of RF energy in a uniform stream, which is distributed evenly on tissue
- Clear Visualization Improves visualization by helping carry surgical smoke away from the field of view, reduces unpleasant odors, and clears the surgical site of blood and other fluids

Refurbished Conmed Conmed HelixAR Electrosurgical Unit
Soma Technology, Inc. offers Refurbished Conmed HelixAR Electrosurgical unit Systems up to 50% below OEM prices with the same service and warranty as new. The Conmed HelixAR Electrosurgical Unit is not only technically refurbished but also cosmetically refurbished to make it work and look like new. When the refurbishing process starts the Conmed HelixAR system is carefully inspected and tested by our own in-house biomedical engineers who are highly skilled and certified to work on the Conmed HelixAR Electrosurgical Unit. If necessary, parts are replaced to make sure that all aspects of the pump are functioning properly. Once everything is in working order, the unit is calibrated back to the original engineering manufacturer’s specifications. This ensures that the unit is working the same way that it originally left the manufacturer. After the Conmed system is working like new it undergoes a special cosmetic restoration process. The ConMed HelixAR Electrosurgical Unit is cleaned, minor scratches and dents are repaired, it’s painted, and new decals are replaced if necessary. After this strenuous refurbishing process, the infant warmer functions and looks like new.
