Medivators Scope Buddy
The Medivators Scope Buddy is a endoscope flushing aid that automates the channel-cleaning step of endoscope reprocessing. Instead of manually syringing each channel, staff press one button and the unit delivers a steady, timed flow of fluid through every channel until the cycle finishes. It works with all flexible endoscopes, including ultrasound scopes and ones with elevator wire channels, and it can flush more than one scope at a time. A full cycle takes about 35 seconds, and the unit signals with a sound and a light when it’s done. Because it takes over the syringing that’s normally done by hand, it also cuts down on the repetitive strain that comes with doing it manually.

During the refurbishment of the Scope Buddy, our in-house biomedical engineers, who are trained and certified to work on endoscope reprocessing systems, carefully inspect and test the unit and replace components as needed so every aspect of the system meets the original manufacturer’s engineering specifications. Once it’s fully operational, the Scope Buddy moves into a detailed cosmetic restoration process: thorough cleaning, correction of minor scratches and dents, surface refinishing where needed, and decal replacement if required. After all of that, it functions and presents like new.
