GE Datex-Ohmeda Aespire Features

The GE Datex-Ohmeda S/5 Aespire has a variety of features. Patient safety is a key feature of any machine. The low amount of parts and connections reduces the chances of potential leaks. Multi Absorber facilitates fast, easy removal and replacement.

The GE Datex Ohmeda can have either a 7900 or a 7100 ventilator. Both of these have microprocessors.

7900 and 7100 Ventilator Safety Features

  • Dual redundant airway overpressure protection
  • Volume over-delivery limits and protection
  • Proprietary hose connections with fixed manifolds
  • 10 VA electrical power limited to potential oxygen enriched environment
  • 150 psi burst overpressure protection

The 7100 has a ventilator monitoring board to control the breathing system. Respiratory gas flow is monitored by differential pressure across a variable orifice in each flow sensor. The 7900 has an enhanced sensor interface board that is the interface between the ventilator CPU board and breathing circuit.

GE Datex-Ohmeda Aespire Anesthesia Machine Specifications

This anesthesia machine has four wheels providing for use portability between patient rooms. Highly effective ventilation comes from the use of the 7100 ventilator. This provides a quick visual reference for the patient’s breathing capabilities. The software is easily upgradable with an intuitive user interface. Standard software includes volume control, integrated volume an oxygen monitoring, electronic PEEP and alarm management. Options capabilities include; pressure mode, pressure waveform, and tidal volume compensation.

This product also has innovative integration. Options suction control eliminates the need for stand-alone suction. Optional auxiliary O2 supplies pure oxygen with a nasal cannula. LED light strips provide bi0level work surface illumination. An auxiliary common gas outlet facilitates a low-pressure leak test. This machine also has high-quality pneumatic flow mixing.
