C-Arms are used for their ability to capture an image through X-Ray technology. X-rays are used to examine the structure of bone. The radiation from the X-ray goes through our body. Bones and soft tissues cannot absorb the rays and reflect back as white. Any indentation or breakage is easy to see through an X-Ray picture. Types of Packages

There are a few specialty packages available. These include either; extended processing, vascular function, extended vascular functions, or cardiac pulsed functions. The generator has an 80kHz frequency with continuous fluoro boost mode, pulsed fluoro mode, and full power mode from an outlet.

X-Ray Tube and Collimator

The Philips Pulsera has an X-Ray Tube and a rotating anode X-ray. The heat capacity is 300,000 HU, with a cooling rate of 70,000 HU/min.  The collimator has iris collimation with dual opposing lead shutters allowing elliptical, round, and rectangular collimation.

Camera

The video camera is high-resolution with left-right image reversal, top-bottom image reversal, and negative modes. Computer controlled features include the options of gain, blanking, and camera iris. Two 17″ high-resolution monitors provide anti-glare and anti-static capabilities.
