Steris Medivators Scope Buddy Plus Features
The Steris Medivators Scope Buddy Plus is an endoscope flushing aid. It pumps fluid through endoscope channels the same way a technician would with a syringe, but automatically, through a color touchscreen with manual or automatic mode. The system doses detergent on its own and tracks each flushing cycle, so staff can pull up records by user, endoscope, and patient ID with the optional barcode scanner. It works with most current flexible endoscopes, including those with elevator wire channels, and the 24-hour disposable tubing cuts down on the contamination risk that comes with reusable lines. Like the original Scope Buddy, it’s not a disinfector, so scopes still need high-level disinfection afterward.
