BD Arctic Sun Stat Features

The BD Arctic Sun Stat hyper / hypothermia system is designed to help clinicians closely manage a patient’s body temperature during critical care situations. The system works by circulating temperature-controlled water through adhesive pads applied to the patient’s skin, allowing efficient heat exchange to either cool or warm the body as needed. Using a connected temperature probe, the unit continuously monitors the patient’s temperature and automatically adjusts water temperature to reach and maintain a clinician-selected target. The Arctic Sun Stat can manage temperatures within a therapeutic range commonly used for temperature management protocols in both adult and pediatric patients. Its mobile design allows the system to be used in a variety of hospital settings, including emergency departments, operating rooms, and intensive care units.

  • Circulates temperature-controlled water through adhesive pads to deliver controlled warming or cooling therapy
  • Monitors patient temperature and automatically adjusts water temperature to maintain the selected target
  • Supports therapeutic temperature management within a range of approximately 32°C to 38.5°C (89.6°F to 101.3°F)
  • Designed for use with ArcticGel pads to provide efficient conductive heat transfer
  • Mobile control module designed for continuous operation in clinical environments

Refurbished BD Arctic Sun Stat

Soma Tech Intl offers the BD Arctic Sun Stat Hyper / Hypothermia System up to 50% below OEM prices, providing the same service and warranty as a new. This BD temperature management system undergoes both technical and cosmetic refurbishment to ensure it performs and appears as if it were new. During the refurbishment of the Arctic Sun Stat, our in-house biomedical engineers, who are highly trained and certified to work on hyper / hypothermia systems and patient temperature management devices, carefully inspect and test the unit. If required, components are replaced to ensure all aspects of the BD Arctic Sun Stat meet the original manufacturer’s engineering specifications. This ensures the temperature management system performs just as it did when it originally left the manufacturer.

Once the Arctic Sun Stat system is fully operational, it proceeds through a detailed cosmetic restoration process. The BD hyper / hypothermia system is thoroughly cleaned, minor scratches and dents are addressed, surfaces are refinished when necessary, and decals are replaced if needed. After completing this refurbishment process, the Arctic Sun Stat both functions and presents like new. Soma Tech Intl is ISO 13485:2016 Certified, ensuring strict quality control standards are maintained for all capital medical equipment sold. Before the BD Arctic Sun Stat Hyper / Hypothermia System is labeled patient-ready and prepared for shipment, it undergoes a final quality assurance inspection to confirm proper operation and performance.
