The Masimo Radical 7 is a non-invasive plus oximeter monitor. The Machine can monitor arterial oxygen saturation (SPo2), Pulse rate, and perfusion index. Along with measuring hemoglobin (SpHb)carboxyhemoglobin (SpCO), Total oxygen content (SpOC), methemoglobin (spMET), pleth variability index (PVI), and oxygen reserve index (ORI). The Radical-7 can be used as a standard stand-alone monitor but can also come with the ability to be a handheld monitor. The Pulse oximeter features a touch screen LCD display. This dip can show both numeric value and waveforms for plethysmographic and respiratory.
This Masimo monitor is so versatile it is 3 monitors in one! First, it can be used as a standalone device for bedside monitoring. The Radical can be plugged into the wall and will operate as a beside pulse oximeter and includes alarms.
The second use of the unit is a detachable, battery-operated wireless device, which can be strapped to the wrist or carried in hand, to facilitate untethered monitoring during transport and ambulation
The third use of the Rad-7 is a multi-parameter monitoring interface via SatShare which allows hospitals to seamlessly implement RAINBOW measurement capabilities in the display while automatically transferring data to the Rad-7’s display.
